I only used FoamItGreen once, but I used a lot of it. I have an old pole barn with no insulation in it. No eave vents or roof vents either. For the last 1.5 years, I watched my tools get rusty every winter due to the cold/uninsulated barn. I kept trying to figure the best way to insulate it with the least amount of trouble. If I used a bat or blown in insulation, I would have to add vents and a ceiling. That would be a lot of work. Adding the ceiling meant that I would loose my open joist space too.

Then it finally hit me one day. If I spray foam the barn, I will not need to spend the time and money on vents. I bought 6 kits of FoamItGreen. Within one weekend, I was able to move everything out of the barn, spray insulate it, and move everything back in before the rain began.

My first 30 minutes or so was nerve racking bacause I didn't quite know exactly what I was doing. After that, it was a breeze! If you are spraying a roof like I was, be prepared to get covered in foam droplets. The walls were even easier than the ceiling.

Each kit came with several nozzles. In the beginning I thought I was going to need more. Once I got the hang of it, I typically only used 1 or 2 nozzles per kit.

The biggest benefits for me, was:

1) The time saving;(compared to batt insulation).

2) The R-factor. I put a small heater in the barn, and it almost never runs. The barn is so air tight and warm. I can barely hear any noise outside now.

3) Being an older barn, it seemed to lack structural stiffness. When the wind blew hard, you could hear the wood creak. Now the barn is solid and sturdy.

For me FoamItGreen was the perfect answer for my barn. I have not taken any pictures, but would happy to do so.
