Insulating Metal Buildings with Spray Foam Insulation

More and more people and companies are putting up sturdy and cost-effective metal buildings. People are using Foam it Green spray foam for Metal Buildings, Quonset Huts, and Airplane Hangers.

Sprayed polyurethane foam is used in metal building construction and maintenance for air sealing, condensation control and general insulation. Many metal buildings have a corrugated surface. Sprayed insulation covers uneven surfaces efficiently because it molds to irregular shapes.

Portable and disposable Foam it Green kits are perfect to create a complete insulation system in smaller buildings. Seams are easily sealed using foam kits as well as floor/wall junctions where moisture intrusion is often an issue. Insulating the underside of a metal roof will control condensation and erosion.

To prepare the surface, remove all loose dirt and debris. In ideal conditions, the surface temperature will be between 60°F and 80°F for optimum yield.

Interior surfaces in inhabited buildings should be covered with a 15 minute thermal barrier for fire protection.

"Thank you for caring what happened after the sale. It worked, it was easy to apply and you sent every thing necessary to do the job.

Frankly I was apprehensive but decided to try the closed cell because of the surface - i.e., an old warehouse with "ripple metal", cross bar framing plus one wall of 2" X 6" framing with wood inserts. You could see daylight coming through the metal overlays. I needed the sealing ability of the closed cell foam.

The weather has been mild this week in Arizona but we see a 12 degree difference in the outside /inside temperature. It is quieter, the walls are sealed and I couldn't be happier. It took longer to spray paint the walls than to apply the foam. The only thing hard about the transaction was lifting the containers as one can weighs half as much as I do.

It was creative of you to make the green color the indicator for the correct application. The temperature indicator on the top of the can was very useful. What a great product!"
